About

Trekly helps travelers turn a rough road trip idea into a practical first draft.

Trekly combines user preferences, route estimates, weather context, map-based place lookup, and curated planning rules to produce editable road trip itineraries. It is designed for early trip planning: comparing routes, estimating drive time and trip costs, collecting packing ideas, and finding places worth checking before booking.

The planner is not a booking engine and does not guarantee live prices, availability, closures, permits, reviews, or road conditions. Travelers should confirm important details with official park, road, lodging, weather, and map sources before leaving.

How Trekly Plans

The app starts with either a freeform AI request or manual fields. It then estimates distance and drive time, builds a budget model, fetches weather where available, and suggests stops based on interests such as hiking, food, scenic drives, camping, museums, and swimming.

When AI is available, it is used to interpret the request and polish wording. The app keeps route, budget, weather, and stop logic grounded in the planner data rather than relying on AI text alone.

Editorial Approach

Our goal is useful planning, not hype. Itineraries favor clear timing, realistic drive days, budget awareness, and links that help travelers verify current details.
